About Landed in China

Landed in China publishes practical travel guides for international visitors to mainland China, with a focus on Shanghai. We cover the things that trip people up on day one: paying with Alipay and WeChat Pay, staying online, visas, trains, the metro, Shanghai Disneyland and food.

How we write and check guides

• Policies (fees, limits, visa rules) are taken from official sources first: government portals, the National Immigration Administration, and the payment apps' own help centres.
• Every guide lists its sources with the date we read them, and a "facts last checked" date at the top.
• When sources disagree, we say so instead of picking the convenient number.
• We do not invent first-hand stories. If something is a traveller report rather than an official rule, we label it.
